Under one roof: adesso consolidates its Managed Services portfolio

The question of whether to “make or buy” has long since ceased to be an issue for many companies. As digitalisation advances, companies are increasingly using managed services to deal with the growing complexity of their IT systems. adesso has now bundled all its managed IT services into an integrated offering. The IT service provider aims to offer easier access to its comprehensive range of services in future, so that it can provide its customers with even more targeted and holistic support.

The central building blocks of the services offered include application management, cloud platform management, IT service management, consultancy services, and services related to security and compliance. A team led by Ertan Mutlu, Partner Managed Services at adesso, is now in charge of managing all enquiries and market activities related to the company’s managed services services centrally and ensuring that they are integrated holistically. Managed Services plays an important role in adesso’s growth strategy. In the current financial year 2024, adesso expects its business with long-term service agreements to amount to around 100 million euro. The IT service provider plans to double its managed services revenue by the end of 2026.

Unique selling point: software excellence

At the heart of its managed services portfolio the company is placing its core competence as a software developer and provider of application management services. The IT service provider has a distinct advantage over many of its competitors thanks to its consistent industry focus.

This puts adesso in a position to develop unique offers for the market, including “Use it like it’s SaaS”. With this model, customers reap the benefits of a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for all of their applications – even for those originally intended for on-premises use only. adesso handles the further development and maintenance of the software, while the customer retains control over their applications.

Customer-oriented service portfolio

Ranging from applications to the underlying infrastructure, adesso covers the entire service chain with its managed services – including security and compliance. The services included in the portfolio can also be combined with the SmartShore services from adesso.

When designing customised service models, adesso always focuses on its customers’ requirements and preferences. The IT service provider pursues a technological neutrality approach. The cloud infrastructure partners include all major US hyperscalers and many European providers such as STACKIT, IONOS and OVHCloud. In addition, adesso provides its own BSI C5-certified private cloud, the adesso business cloud, which serves specific customer requirements.
